Guitars

these are ordered by how often they're used

Ibanez GRG320FA - my main guitar

This is my Ibanez GRG320FA, in transparent blue. It was a Christmas gift from 2025 and is tuned to E standard.

I find the bridge pickup to be very warm, but still able to provide a strong, harsh distorted tone.

The middle-bridge is remeniscent of that from a stratocaster - twangy & compressed. Same goes for the middle.

the neck-middle position is similar to middle-bridge but a bit more muted. Similar goes for the true neck position.

Cort AD880 SB

This is a Cort AD880 SB, in sunburst (hence SB). It was a cheap upgrade for my previous steel string acoustic, a Martin Smith, and plays a whole lot better. Tuned to E standard.

I don't particularly have a comment for the sound character; but it certainly gets the job done as an acoustic (at least volume wise).

dont mind the sock on the nut; I use it as a mute

Squier Sonic telecaster

This is my Squier Sonic tele in butterscotch blonde, it was also a Christmas gift but from 2023. This was my first guitar that I got first-hand as well. It's tuned to Eb standard or Drop C#.

The bridge pickup is.. as you'd expect from a telecaster; warm & muted, yet bright.

Middle position is twangy and a bit more muted; comparable to the middle-bridge position from a strat.

Neck pickup, I don't have a comment for because I don't use it very much at all.

Yamaha Pacifica 012V

This is my Yamaha Pacifica 012V in black, whom was a gift from my dad. This was my first electric guitar overall too! Tuned to D standard when I restring it.

Bridge pickup, warm yet also bright, kind of what you'd expect from a humbucker.

Middle-bridge, same as before, I'm trying not to be repetetive trust me please

I don't use any of the other pickups so there isn't really much else to say.

FX Pedals

ordered by signal chain guitar->amp

Dunlop GCB95 Wah

This is, as you could guess, a Dunlop GCB95 Wah pedal. I don't really know how I would caption this with sound characters like my guitars, because it doesn't even have settings; it's literally just a band pass sweep.

Yeah that's about it.

Boss OD-20

A Boss OD-20 Drive Zone. I like how versatile it is, not for modelling the effects pedals it's meant to, but just for how many unique sounds it can produce.

The manual mode is set to - HM-2, full drive, bottom at 2:00, tone at 1:45, level at 9:15, attack shape at full edge, and heavy octave at off.
I'm clarifying this because it differs from the image shown below. I'd say the 4 programs, but I can only remember the models they were and it would also make this section too long.

program 1 - OD-2 at 3:00 drive, I believe. Program 2 - i forgot. Program 3 - Metal (amp sim), full drive. Program 4 - Muff fuzz (EHX big muff), full drive as well IIRC.

Behringer EQ700

Apologies for the shaky image, first off. But anyways,, I primarily use my EQ as a glorified boost, as the Middle-bridge on the Ibanez is far quieter than using the humbucking pickups entirely.

Can be very versatile though, I first used it as a mids/treble boost (I really wanted bright tones) but have since moved to using it as a level boost.

Electro-Harmonix Small Clone

I really like Nirvana. A lot less compared to when I initally bought this pedal, albeit I still enjoy all of their music.

Good for shimmery tones, adds pseudo-brightness. Can be used for wobbly, unstable sounds, i.e. high rate and depth switch up; can be chaotic with distortion.

TC Electronic Thunderstorm Flanger

I like using this as if it were a phaser (for distorted tones at least) so it's really prominent and takes over the entire signal, kind of. I could probably use it for subtle sweeps, similar to that of the intro from "Going Away To College" by Blink-182, from their album Enema of The State.
I really need to get more commentary for these paragraphs.

Behringer Noise Reducer NR-300

A relatively decent noise reducer. A gift from a friend because he didn't want it any more,,
I'd say it doesn't work well with distortion, but that's because there's a lot of noise introduced by my modulation pedals because of the fact that I use daisy-chain 9v adapters.

I don't really have another comment on this.

also, for quick reference, I use ",," in place of a period or commas so it sounds a bit more casual because this page looks abit too formal sometimes

Music taste

in a not very specific order

if you're lazy and don't want to read any more of this (fair enough), go to this link to go to a spotify playlist, which is my entire taste in music. Also it has ~1.5k songs because I add by album, not by random songs I like.

now that that's out of the way, I can't actually be bothered to write down my whole music taste.

What I do have, though, are CDs. I too cannot be bothered to put an image of them here so I will list them instead (UNOFFICIAL COPIES WILL BE MARKED WITH [P])
